Sisters Susan and Mary Alizon Walton spent their childhood holidays in the family kitchen helping their mother prepare the Walton family's traditional holiday treat--called a Stroopwafel (a Dutch cookie made with all butter and a caramel filling). This Walton holiday tradition continued in the sisters' own kitchens for years until 1988, when, to satisfy the ever-increasing demand from family, neighbors, friends, and friends-of-friends, Susan and Mary Alizon decided to manufacture these beloved holiday treats all year long.
